Demonstrating how my programs work on a TI89  Titanium calculator and other calculators in the TI system for physics and calculus problems ok this video we’re going to us my programs like a quadratic formula worksheet and let’s get started to you have to press second alpha to put the i n d e x in here and then press alpha to put the eight and the open and closed parentheses and then press enter and you are into my menu I’m already at the quadratic formula here but you can see the choices ahh all up and down ahh with the cursor to pass calculus and do your homework so were going to go down to the quadratic formula to make it work like a quadratic formula worksheet and I give you the definition of the quadratic formula you always write this formula down first on your test or homework and were going to enter the variables you have to press alpha before you enter anything into these entry lines of my programs we’re going to go alpha minus six sixteen and then were going to due alpha maybe eight and then were going to do maybe minus six ahh I always show you what you’ve entered so you can change it in case you made a mistake. I’m going to say it’s ok here now this told me that the variables are wrong because it makes the negative under the discriminate so it becomes a non real answer so we have to change the variables so let’s go alpha minus sixteen alpha eight and alpha nine and we’re going to do the quick answer here shows you where you put the variables into that formula you marked down in your paper the variables in there and here’s the answer here’s the exact answer here’s the approximate answer exact and approximate.
